Calamari Special is a Rock Band comprised of long time friends and bandmates Nick Salve, Jack Fossett, and Kevin Roy. They are also joined by the talented Ross Petersen on drums and are currently in search of a vocalist. The band came in to existance in mid 2012 and its sole purpose is to benefit Multiple Sclerosis Research and Assitance. The band's first goal is to raise $10,000 to be donated to the Maine chapter of the National MS Society as a way of saying Thank You for all the help they have given me since my diagnosis. We are currently recording a CD which will be available on iTunes and in old fashioned CD form once it is complete. What's with the name? People ask me this all the time. The name is entirely a marketing scheme. If people walk by a bar or club and the sign out front says "Calamari Speical Tonight," of course they are going to walk in! It also reflects the upbeat rock feel of the group. |
